After a year of cancelled events and no training focus, I had dropped into bad habits; my nutrition was bad and I was doing no conditioning or weight work. To be honest I gave Skillathletic at YourGym a go during September, though, to see if it inspired me to mix up my gym programme. I was a complete convert!
Whilst I’d been doing a range of classes, the 28-day challenge gave that programme ‘mix up’ a better focus. Kara was my instructor, going through the different classes with me, then designing an easy to use, weekly nutrition break down and a personalised programme of classes and floor work inline with my goals. She was really helpful in keeping track of how I was doing individually, whilst adding a healthy dose of fear(!), but she also set up a great WhatsApp group of girls to help us be accountable. It was tough at times to stay focussed but the timetable of classes is well structured so you can plan in your differing training areas and the whole Skill group, instructors and members, proved to be so supportive and motivating.

As of creating this website and offer we only have space for 15 more Lytham residents to secure their place, and then the waiting list will be rolled out…

You see, we’re a little bit different from a big corporate gym, a CrossFit box or Bootcamp. We DON’T cram as many people into sessions as possible. We only train people one-to-one, in small groups or group personal training.

This is uncommon in the fitness world in recent years but it works for our clients and for us, as they get better results and personal attention.
