It's safe to say that when I took the plunge and started PT sessions at 3 months post partum I was nervous. Due to the pandemic I hadn't had the most active of pregnancies, then followed a traumatic birth and recovery.
As always Steven at Ouch Potato made me feel at ease from the first session. After 20 sessions over 6 weeks I'm now both physically and mentally stronger going into the new year, as well as having dropped 15.5cm over all parts of my body. Post partum recovery and fitness can be a long road, but this was the boost I needed to get my confidence back, and now I can't wait to head to the gym in January for the parent and child sessions; I'm also aiming to do the Defeat the Fad programme at some point in 2021 to give me a further boost.
In the meantime, I'll access the online library of workouts the team have built up over this year and follow the expert advice from them in continuing my fitness journey.
There is no gym I know of like Ouch and the praise they receive from their members is testament to the hard work and passion that drive their unique aims. Basically, I love being part of the Ouch family, and I'm glad to be back!
I joined the Defeat the Fad 6 Week Challenge programme in July, feeling a bit down about how I looked, and keen to make some changes but not sure where to start.
Over the 6 weeks I tried to join in as many of the classes and weight sessions that I could, as well as following the healthy eating suggestions. I won't lie, it was hard work but the team at Ouch Potato were so supportive, and tackling one week at a time felt manageable.

As of creating this website and offer we only have space for 15 more York residents to secure their place, and then the waiting list will be rolled out…
You see, we’re a little bit different from a big corporate gym, a CrossFit box or Bootcamp. We DON’T cram as many people into sessions as possible. We only train people one-to-one, in small groups or group personal training.
This is uncommon in the fitness world in recent years but it works for our clients and for us, as they get better results and personal attention.
