Before My Fitness Kitchen I was already working out and eating pretty well but I was moving the wrong way on the scale and every time I tried to do any leg exercises my pants started to get tight on my thighs and I would stop. I was tired of the issue and started looking for something new and found My Fitness Kitchen. I told Mark if my thighs go, “whoop”, I’m done. He did not disappoint!! What got me interested in checking out My Fitness Kitchen (MFK) was the free strategy session. I was not obligated to join as soon as I walked in the door.
During my free strategy session, besides jotting down the basic information (weight & measurements), I remember Mark telling me about his fitness background and why he became a certified fitness trainer. Then he asked me what my goals were, struggles, and current nutrition and fitness levels. After talking a lot just from this one session, I could tell he was passionate in his profession and helping his members achieve their goals. This is what got me to join.
Once I became a member, Mark took his time, taught me how to use each machine properly and what to watch for with body mechanics. He didn’t expect me to jump right in and know how to use the machines properly, which is something I feel is different from other gyms.
I train one-on-one with either Mark, Chrissy, or Justin, who are all certified trainers, once a week. Each of them makes sure my form is correct, pushes me to my limits when needed, and wants to see me achieve my goals. They not only help celebrate my achievements, but they also notice when I am struggling in my fitness journey and take the time to help me get back on track.
Since becoming a member of My Fitness Kitchen for over 3 years, I can honestly tell you I feel MFK is my workout family.

As of creating this website and offer we only have space for 15 more Latrobe Area residents to secure their place, and then the waiting list will be rolled out…

You see, we’re a little bit different from a big corporate gym, a CrossFit box or Bootcamp. We DON’T cram as many people into sessions as possible. We only train people one-to-one, in small groups or group personal training.

This is uncommon in the fitness world in recent years but it works for our clients and for us, as they get better results and personal attention.
