My biggest hurdle was knowing I’d have to clean up my unhealthy diet to get the figure I wanted. Anybody who knows me knows I have a sweet tooth but I was able to control my weight due to running and my job as a bricklayer. When I started into the program I felt really comfortable at the gym sessions as I had previous experience in the sport of powerlifting and had the basics set in place. However, the cardio was all new to me with my first experience of burpees, mountain climbers etc. With guidance from Mel, I soon got into the swing of things. Mel set a nutrition plan for me and made it easy to follow and understand. The cardio and nutrition plan were both new to me and I knew if I followed it to a tee I’d see the results I wanted
My main obstacle was trying to fit going to the gym around my work as I work shifts But when I spoke to Mel we soon were able to overcome that. My first impression of Mel’s programme was that I can do this, it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Everything was well explained by Mel. I really enjoyed all the gym sessions and home workouts that I had to do. Before I started the programme I felt that I was in a rut not wanting to do much but just sit and watch TV but now I am feeling great, enjoying exercise and getting out and about doing stuff plus loving how I look and not thinking that am overweight.

You see, we’re a little bit different from a big corporate gym, a CrossFit box or Bootcamp. We DON’T cram as many people into sessions as possible. We only train people one-to-one, in small groups or group personal training.
This is uncommon in the fitness world in recent years but it works for our clients and for us, as they get better results and personal attention.
