After having my second child, I slowly began to put on the pounds, always being a size 10, but was slowly creeping up to a 14, hating how I looked and realising how unfit I was becoming. I wanted to make a change for my kids and become a fitter parent. I wasn’t sure where to turn so posted on social media about joining a gym. A friend suggested I go to a 6am boot-camp with her to Jupiter Health Club and that is where my fitness journey began.
I was very nervous entering my first class but instructor, Justin, and gym members made me feel very welcome and at ease... Justin telling me classes were for all fitness levels and not to feel uncomfortable. Justin is great at keeping you motivated at all times and correcting your techniques when needed as well as keeping things friendly for myself and all the members. He keeps classes fresh by regularly introducing new ideas to keep us on our toes. He also offers nutritional information and can sort diet plans if needed.

I had tried every diet under the sun and I just never lost weight. I just wanted to get fitter and do something for myself. The thing I liked most about Jupiter was the way the staff take no time to get to know you as an individual. It isn’t one way for everyone – they tailor what they do to suit the individual. Justin obviously soon worked out I don’t like being made a fuss of in the gym but little personal touches like the odd text message to say how well I was doing and to give the much needed motivation made all the difference.

After having my second child I was looking to shift my baby weight & tone up. I found it difficult to get to my usual classes due to childcare so took advantage of the 12 week PT plan. It fitted into my schedule and I could plan my sessions week to week. The sessions were tailored to my specific needs, tummy toned, getting rid of fat, firm up my butt etc. I was helped & advised every step of the way. As of creating this website and offer we only have space for 15 more East Durham residents to secure their place, and then the waiting list will be rolled out…

You see, we’re a little bit different from a big corporate gym, a CrossFit box or Bootcamp. We DON’T cram as many people into sessions as possible. We only train people one-to-one, in small groups or group personal training.

This is uncommon in the fitness world in recent years but it works for our clients and for us, as they get better results and personal attention.
